The YDO is a single ordinance encompassing Town development regulations for new subdivisions and provides zoning regulations that specify permitted uses, building setbacks, architectural/aesthetic requirements, landscaping, signage, and other development requirements for all property within the Town's planning jurisdiction. Printed copies are available from the Town upon request for a fee to cover printing costs. The YDO has been split into chapters and posted online for ease of reference. The YDO may be amended by the Board of Commissioners from time to time. While the Planning & Zoning Department updates the online version in a timely manner, the current version may be obtained by contacting the Planner at lgarcia@youngsvillenc.gov. A copy of the Town's previous zoning ordinance has been posted here. Please contact the Planning Specialist if you are in need of a copy of the zoning ordinances in force on a particular date.

The Town of Youngsville Manual of Specifications, Standards, and Design ("Manual") sets forth standards and responsibility for infrastructure construction, including but not limited to streets, sidewalks, and landscaping. Construction shall be in conformance with the standards set forth in the Manual, except to the extent such standards are specified in the YDO or other Ordinances of the Town of Youngsville. In those cases, the standards set by the ordinances shall control. Otherwise, developers and contractors are responsible for knowing and following the standards set forth in the Manual.
